VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) -- One person is dead after a Valdosta home caught fire Monday morning, said the fire department.
Emergency crews responded to a fire at 131 Perry Lane around 7:30 a.m.
Firefighters said they were able to extinguish the fire quickly. However, one person was found dead inside the home.
At this time no other details about how the person died or their identity have been released.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
