MARIANNA, Fla. (WTXL) - A man is dead after a single-car accident in Marianna.
Jordan Colby, 25, of Marianna was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, they responded to a car accident on Laramore Road and Pittman Hill Road at about 1:57 p.m. on Wednesday.
FHP states Colby was driving east on Laramore Road and the side of his car traveled onto the grass shoulder as he was negotiating a left curve.
FHP said Colby tried to overcorrect, resulting in him traveling across the east and westbound lanes of Laramore Road, before hitting two trees.
According to FHP, Colby was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP states Colby was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
