TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- A South Florida woman was killed after an overnight crash in Leon County.
Florida Highway Patrol says around 1 a.m., a semi was heading east on Interstate 10, near mile marker 212.
The trucker lost control and went over the median into oncoming traffic, hitting a pick-up truck.
The passenger in that pick-up, Kimberly Kay Palmer, 47, of Punta Gorda, was taken to the hospital, where she later died. Driver Duane Palmer, 42, is in the hospital in serious condition.
The semi driver, Robert Ellis Charlton, 61, of Crestview, Florida, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers say all those involved were wearing seat-belts at the time.
Charges are pending.
