One Injured After Georgia State Patrol Pursuit on I-75

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - At least one person was injured following a single vehicle pursuit involving Georgia State Patrol on I-75.

The pursuit of a single vehicle took place on I-75 northbound Thursday evening, shortly after 6:30pm causing one lane to be closed for approximately an hour, according to Georiga State Patrol.

While details leading to the pursuit have not been released by law enforcement, Georgia State Patrol can confirm that at least one inury occured following a crash. The crash came after the trooper on scene used an official pursuit tactic to bring the car to a stop, said Corporal Chris Kelch.

According to Cpl. Kelch, no other law enforcement or civilians were injured in the pursuit and no further damage was reported aside from the suspect's vehicle and the patrol car.

Georgia State Patrol says the pursuit will warrant a further investigation. Stay tuned to WTXL for more updates as details become available.
