TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Fire Department says one person was taken to the hospital and a home was completely destroyed after a fire on Sunday.
TFD says there were called to the 1900 block of Talpeco Road on Sunday around 6:32 p.m. about a house fire. Crews from stations 1, 2, 8 and 10 arrived on to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the home.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about 25 minutes.
They say there were two vehicles in the driveway that also had to be extinguished. Leon County EMS transported one person to the hospital for medical treatment.
The home and vehicles were a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Leon County Sheriff’s officers and city utilities also responded to the scene.
