SOPCHOPPY, FL (WTXL) - One person is dead after a late night crash in Wakulla County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 11 p.m. Thursday night on Sopchoppy Highway near the U.S. Post Office.
Troopers said 26-year-old Michael Klink was driving northbound when he approached a curve. Klink reportedly straightened out for unknown reasons, causing him to crash into the passenger side of a car that was traveling southbound.
Klink and the driver of the second car were taken to TMH with minor injuries. The passenger in the second car, 64-year-old Elizabeth Davis, was pronounced dead on scene, troopers said.
All drivers and passengers were reportedly wearing their seat belts. Troopers have yet to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash.
Troopers said charges are still pending.
