BROOKS Co., GA (WTXL) - A three car crash in Brooks County, Georgia, resulted in the death of one person, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Troopers say the crash happened around 2 p.m. on at GA 333 near GA 122. When authorities arrived on scene they found one driver, 37-year-old Carrie McCullough was dead.

They say McCullough's car, a white Toyota Scion, did not yield when crossing GA 333 and crossed into the path of a freight liner log truck, driven by 23-year-old Brandon Smart.

According to troopers, the trailer detached from the truck and spilled into the roadway and a yard nearby. The logs also hit a vehicle parked in the yard, but no one was inside.

Smart was transported to Brooks County Hospital for a minor injury to his leg.

Troopers say GA 333 was completely blocked. As of 8pm Tuesday, the road was reopened.
