TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - With Election Day still one week away, more than 1 million Floridians have already voted in the Aug. 30 primary through early voting and vote-by-mail, according to figures for the State Division of Elections.
As of Tuesday afternoon, over 900,000 citizens have voted by mail with another 1.4 million requested mail ballots yet to be returned. Another 200,000 people have used the early voting option.
Division of Elections statistics showed Republican voters are outnumbering Democrats in both early voting and casting ballots through the mail.
Wednesday is the last day for Floridians to request a vote-by-mail ballot for next week's primary election.
