VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta Police say that a fight between two roommates lead one to strangle the other with a belt.
The Valdosta Police Department said that the incident happened on Sunday around 9:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of University Drive.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim who told police officers that he had been involved in a fight with his roommate, Carl Wilson.
The victim told them that during the fight, his roommate had started strangling him with a belt.
The victim said that Wilson had ran away before officers could arrive.
VPD said that as officers on scene continued investigating, a description of Wilson and his car was sent to other officers through a local lookout.
Wilson was eventually found and transported to the Lowndes County Jail.
