THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - On Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 is the second annual Community-Wide Oktoberfest. It will be held from 5-8 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 216 Remington Avenue.
Enjoy bratwurst, sauerkraut and beer, plus polka to live German music provided by the Gesundheit Quartet. There will be a special play area for children.
The cost is a suggested donation of $10. Organizers say proceeds benefit the Episcopal Development Agency of Thomasville (EDAT) and its revitalization work in the Stevens Street Urban Redevelopment Area. EDAT is a cooperative effort of Thomasville's three Episcopal churches-St. Thomas, Good Shepherd, and All Saints-and is supported by the Diocese of Georgia.
