MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - Talquin Electric has issued a precautionary boil water notice for the Midway area.
They said that is affecting the following areas: south of Dupont Road, east of Peters Road, and west of Ochlockonee River.
Approximately 1,533 customers are being affected by the notice.
Officials are instructing residents to not drink the water without bringing it to a rolling boil for at least a minute and letting it cool before using. They recommend that if sediment is present in your water, to let it settle before drinking.
The company also said that residents may have discolored tap water due to shifting sediments and advise that you avoid washing your clothes with discolored water or it may stain them.
Lastly, make sure to run water from an outside spigot or bath tub faucet to assure that water was been flushed before operating and using.
