ALTOONA, Fla. (AP) - Two people have died and four others have been injured following a two-vehicle crash near Altoona.
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles says that the incident occurred Monday afternoon on State Road 19.
According to department spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes, the two cars were driving in opposite directions when one of them lost control, crossed the center line and hit the second vehicle head-on.
The drivers of both cars died. Two adults and two children were transported to local hospitals.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
