TUSTIN, Calif. (AP) — Southern California law enforcement officials have yet to determine why the first victim in a deadly shooting rampage was doing in the gunman's home.

Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino says the slain woman has been identified as a 20-year-old from Buena Park but investigators don't know what her relationship was with shooter Ali Syed.

Authorities say Syed shot her with his shotgun early Tuesday and then went on a carjacking and shooting rampage that killed two more people and wounded three before he killed himself.

Amormino says Syed was a college student described as a loner who spent a lot of time in his room playing video games.
