LOWNDES CO. Ga.-- A burglar broke into a store on Bemiss road and got away with several cartons of cigarettes the morning of May 2nd.
Deputies say once the burglar got inside the Fred's on Bemiss road, that person went inside the pharmacy but wasn't able to take anything from there.
Instead, the suspect gathered and stole a large amount of cigarettes.
Sheriff Chris Prine is hoping someone in the community may be a witness. He said "We are hopeful someone saw something that will move this investigation forward. Bemiss Road is heavily traveled and maybe someone saw a vehicle parked nearby or someone walking in the area."
