WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say two motorcycle officers assisting with President Barack Obama's motorcade have been injured in an accident in Florida.

Miami Police Department spokeswoman Kenia Reyes says one officer was treated at a hospital and released. She says the other is in stable condition but will remain in the hospital overnight.

Police didn't provide any other details. The White House and U.S. Secret Service had no immediate comment.

Obama was in the Miami area Wednesday evening for two Democratic fundraisers. His itinerary wasn't affected. He left Miami ahead of schedule.

This isn't the first time Obama's motorcade has been involved in an accident in Florida. In 2012, an officer was struck and killed by a pickup truck in West Palm Beach, where Obama was traveling for a campaign stop.
