TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Tallahassee police officers are back in the capital city from the Police Unity Tour.
The officers rode 250 miles from Portsmouth, Virginia to Washington D.C. in honor of fallen officers.
During the three day ride, TPD officers said the road was long and the hills hard, but they rode for their brothers and sisters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Officer David Northway talks about the experience.
"We got to ride with some amazing survivors who came from all over the country to ride with us in the bicycle ride," said Officer Northway. "We met all of our law enforcement partners at RFK stadium in Washington D.C. There was about 2,500 of us there that then rode into the memorial lawn. It was an amazing experience."
