TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Financial literacy is a topic most people want to learn more about, and Tuesday the women in our community are getting that opportunity.
WTXL's Jada Williams is live this morning with more on how the Oasis Center for Women and Girls is helping women take their bank accounts to the next level.
The women will learn valuable skills in terms of spending, saving and earning money - all to help bolster financial freedom and security.
Michelle Gomez, the executive director of the Oasis Center for Women and Girls, said the gender pay gap inspired her to teach women more about their money to try to make up for the lost money.
The Women MoneyStrong workshop is accepting participants.
The workshop starts at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Oasis Center on Call Street.
