VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--Crestwood Nursing Home in Valdosta is now releasing a statement after one of its residents was arrested, accused of murdering her roommate.
Police say Janet Clements strangled her roommate Cynthia Weekley.
Clements was arrested Thursday and charged with felony murder and aggravated assault by strangulation.
Weekly was found dead in her room Tuesday.
Crestwood released this statement:
"As a long-time member of this community, we are saddened by this event and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families involved. In an effort to help our employees, patients, and family members we have our corporate chaplains on site to provide grief support."
