Number of Top Rated High Schools Falls

Posted

FLORIDA (WTXL) - The number of top rated high schools is falling in the sunshine state.

‘A’ graded schools dropped from 49% last year to 36% this year.

Florida’s Education Commissioner Pam Stewart said the big reason for the drop in ‘A’ schools was the grading formula change, making it more difficult to get that top grade.

‘B’ graded schools did go up slightly from 33% to 35%.
