TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Improvements are underway at a troubled property in Tallahassee.
The Leon County Circuit Court has appointed real estate professional Bruce Lyons to stabilize and enhance the Northwood Centre.
This after former and current state workers filed a lawsuit against it's owners last year over complaints of getting sick from mold, bat feces and poor air quality.
The Orlando-based managing director received the appointment two weeks ago.
Improvements to the building that once housed the State Department of Economic Opportunity include landscaping, cleanup and renovations to the interior and exterior.
In a statement Bruce lyons says, "The complex has faced serious challenges in the recent past and I look forward to helping to get it back on it's feet."
