TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Although it's St. Patrick's Day, the Tallahassee Vegetarian Community brought people together to learn about a different type of green.
The annual North Florida Vegfest took over Cascades Park Saturday.
Organizers say more than 3,000 people attended.
People could buy food from local vendors, take part in cooking demos, and learn more about plant-based food.
"A plant-based life style is just the best that you can do for your health for your animals for the environment," said Vegfest Coordinator Nathalie Elsamra. "I think really it's just awareness. It's just gotten bigger their is definitely a demand for these options and we just want to give people the education and resources."
This was the fourth year for the veg-filled event.
