OCALA, Fla. (AP) - A 14-year-old boy has died after being shot by his 17-year-old friend at a home near Ocala.
Deputies say the teens were playing with guns at the older boy's house on Wednesday night when Daniel Harshman boy pointed a shotgun at his friend in a joking manner.
The Ocala Star-Banner (http://bit.ly/1yLAsa6 ) reports the older boy then picked up a 9 mm handgun and jokingly pointed it at Harshman. The teen told Marion County Sheriff's deputies that Harshman nudged him in the shoulder with the end of the shotgun barrel and the handgun fired, striking the teen in the chest.
Harshman was taken to an Ocala hospital where he later died.
The other teen is charged with manslaughter and is being held without bail at a juvenile facility.
