FLORIDA (WTXL) - Scholars from North Florida Freedom Schools led a march to end child hunger today in the capital city.
Parents and community leaders joined children as they marched from Kleman Plaza to the capitol.
The children are participating with thousands of others in the Children's Defense Fund's 2017 National Day of Social Action.
It's geared at raising awareness about child hunger and the need to strengthen federal programs critical to giving all American children a healthy start in life.
After the march, a demonstration of Harambee was held for participants including motivational song, cheers and chants.
