TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) – Fear of dreary weather didn’t stop parade goers from attending the 48th Annual Springtime Tallahassee.

The Saturday festivities went on as scheduled even though the night before, the Springtime Tallahassee Music Festival was forced to move from Kleman Plaza to The Moon because of weather.

Parade goers didn’t seem worried that the weather wouldn’t clear up in time though.

Melanie Etters and her son Titus said they arrived a little late to the parade but it wasn’t because of cloudy skies.

“We just had a late start today… we just decided we were going to come anyways whether it was going to rain or not,” said Etters.

Other parade goers made sure to keep their eyes on weather forecasts before hand, including Jack Richardson.

Richardson and his wife recently moved to Tallahassee from south Florida after their 3 children graduated from Florida State.

“We started realizing that there’s more festivals in Tallahassee than probably anywhere else,” said Richardson. “So we’ve started coming; started at Market Days and we’ve been trying to attend something at least once a month.”

Richardson was not disappointed by the weather or the parade. He and his wife each walked away covered in beads, on their way to continue seeing what Springtime Tallahassee had to offer.
