New TPD officers sworn in

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Some new officers are now on the force in Tallahassee.

12 of the Tallahassee Police Department's newest members were welcomed into the department by Chief Michael DeLeo, fellow officers, family and friends.

One of those new officers says that as a father who was born and raised in Tallahassee, he's proud to come back and work in the community.

"This is home. I grew up here. The only time I left was when I went into the military," said Officer Johnathan McCall, who was sworn in Friday. "Now that I've come back and I have my family here, what a better occupation to be in where you can actually be a part of the community and serve the community at the same time."
