New study says absolutely no drinking during pregnancy

Posted

A new report from the American Academy of Pediatrics says that there is no safe amount to drink during any trimester of pregnancy.

The group of pediatricians also says all forms of alcohol, whether beer, wine or liquor, pose a risk to a fetus.

Despite most women abstaining from alcohol during their pregnancies, studies suggest that some women do continue to drink. Drinking alcohol while pregnant can lead to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorders and other birth defects.
