TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office announced Monday their new procedures to make it easier for inmates to pay child support.
Officials say the new process should decrease the risk of human error by reducing the number of agencies the number of agencies the money would have to go through. They say this will also make the process much faster, going from four weeks to two.
The new procedure was developed in partnership between the sheriff's office and the Leon County Clerk of Court. The procedure went into effect Jan. 1.
