TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A new president is stepping in to lead the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Foundation.
Nigel Allen says he's thrilled to bring his passion and years of professional fundraising to TMH.
In his new role, Allen plans to connect the foundation with new donors and philanthropists, as well as interact with donors who are currently supporting TMH's mission.
He'll oversee: daily operations, volunteer services, fundraising efforts, and the foundation's budget.
"More than $2 million of TMH's budget each year is allocated to provide additional mission support to patients and families throughout our community," said Allen. "That has a big impact and my hope is that during the time I'm here we can grow that number with the support of the community."
Allen will begin in October.
His appointment comes weeks after former TMH Foundation President, Mickey Moore, announced his resignation.
