TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- It you need something to brighten up a dreary day, a cupcake is sure to do the trick... especially when it looks like a sunflower!
That's the delectable design Lucy and Leo's Cupcakery shared with us on WTXL Midday. Paula Lucas and Keaton Nieves from the shop joined us with some icing advice.
Start with your favorite flavor of cupcake. Add a few drops of food coloring to icing and add to a pastry bag. Starting along the outside border of the cupcake, make small dollops, pulling upward. Fill in the entire top using the same technique. Then, put half of an Oreo in the middle to complete your flower!
Lucy & Leo's started the new year off on a new foot, with a big move down the block.
The space is only 400 feet away from its old locale, but Lucas says it's been a good opportunity for new foot traffic and continuing to share their cupcake creations with the community.
The cupcakery has special flavors everyday. You can also special order unique creations like the sunflower design.
