VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - The location for a new parking garage has been tentatively approved for an open lot on Toombs Street.
The City of Valdosta said that the garage is part of a new Wyndham Hotel across the street from the City Hall.
The hotel will be taking some parking spots downtown and will cause the City of Valdosta's customer service building to relocate, according to the city. The builders will have to build the new Customer Service center before any construction can begin on the hotel and parking deck.
This is an evolving project and a final rendering has not been approved. The city said it is very likely that it will change before it is built.
