TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - Bruises, belt marks, and healing scars found on the body of a Tallahassee toddler, leads to the arrest of a 22 year old.

22 year old is Antonyo Woods is now facing a first degree murder charge,

after his girlfriend's son died early thursday morning. Woods is also facing a charge of cruelty towards a child involving torture and punishment.

These charges come after Tallahassee Police responded to the 800 block of California Street where a child was reported not breathing. The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Woods told officers that the child started vomiting after drinking some juice. Woods added that he patted the child on the back to help, and later performed CPR on the victim when the young child began gagging again.

A preliminary autopsy now reveals that those details may not be true.According to the probable cause affidavit for Woods' arrests, "there was blood and biological remnants" in the master bedroom and a hallway inside the California Street apartment.

The report also describes results from the preliminary autopsy describing "several crescent moon shaped abrasions in various stages of healing along the lower torso and both legs". The report also says the toddler's body "showed multiple fully identifiable markings of a belt which were embedded into the victim's skin."
