TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Capital Regional Medical Center's new CEO is sharing his plans to move the hospital forward.
Alan Keesee says his priorities are to recruit more doctors to town and expand two new emergency room facilities in north Tallahassee and Southwood.
He began his new role at the beginning of the month after serving as chief operating officer at the hospital from 2013 to 2015. He then moved to a leadership position as chief operating officer in Las Vegas, but says he is happy to be back in the Capital City.
He tells WTXL he's optimistic about the growth and changes he has seen over the past few years.
Capital Regional Medical Center has more than 1,100 employees and 500 physicians.
