BAKER COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Florida man is facing felony charges after authorities found nearly 200 marijuana plants in his home.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Baker County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sherdon 'Vance' Morris on Monday.
They say that the two agencies had been investigating Morris' home in Macclenny, Fla. after receiving reports of criminal activity.
Law enforcement received information that Morris had been growing marijuana on the property, as well as, inside the home. They also received reports that Morris was illegally hunting and poaching on and around the wooded area of the property.
On Monday, FWC and BCSO searched Morris' home and found the following things:
- 184 Marijuana Plants
- 30-06 Rifle
- ½ gram of Methamphetamine
- Misc. types of prescription medication
- 3.8 Grams of Processed Marijuana
Morris was taken to jail.
