PASADENA, CA (WTXL / ABC) – Let the party begin! Along the parade route, fans camped out along Colorado Blvd doing their best to keep warm. It’s a brutal battle as a freeze warning has been issued til 9 am with temperatures plummeting to between 29°-32°. The previous record low for the Rose Parade was 32° in 1952.

The fire department is keeping a close eye on all the warming fires lining the route and on the look out for anyone in trouble, especially young children.

Whether buried in blanket or cozied up against a fire, keeping warm is the name of the game. But for the stars of the show, there's no where to hide.  Officials are watching closely for any cold weather damage.
