TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It was a joyous day for some who realized their dream of becoming United States citizens.
About 15 people gathered at the Tallahassee courthouse for the official naturalization ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
Many who took part said they couldn't believe the day had finally arrived.
Immediately following the ceremony, the Leon County Supervisor of Elections Office Staff registered the new citizens to vote and a reception was held on the third floor of the U.S. District Courts.
