(WTXL) - Starting Monday, August 8, the FDA will begin regulation on all tobacco products nationwide including e-cigarettes, cigars and hookah.

The sale of any tobacco product to minors will be prohibited as of August 8. In addition. Businesses that sell these products will be required to comply with federal tobacco laws and may face enforcement action from the FDA should they violate the law.

The extended rule has given the FDA authority over all tobacco products, allowing the agency to do more to improve public health and protect current and future generations from the dangers of tobacco use.
