SOUTH CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (AP) — Police say a 14-year-old boy stabbed his 16-year-old brother to death in the Chicago suburb of South Chicago Heights.
South Chicago Heights Police Chief Bill Joyce says officers responded to the domestic violence incident Wednesday morning. The Cook County medical examiner's office says the 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead at his home. Joyce says the victim's 14-year-old brother was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon. He was later released into his grandfather's custody.
A spokesman for the Cook County state's attorney's office said Friday that no charges have been filed against the 14-year-old boy.
