NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (WTXL) — A young woman is facing a traumatic experience after her hair began falling out after she used conditioner that is believed to have been tampered with, according to her mother.
Taffy Jo Timm said her daughter, Ashely Rose, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, brought Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume conditioner at their local Walmart.
They both believe that the bottle was tampered with before Rose bought it.
"Someone mixed Nair in her conditioner bottle!!!! As I speak she is losing hair and crying," Timm wrote in a Facebook post.
Rose said her hair was falling out in "clumps" before she decided to shave it. She posted pictures of it on Facebook, but stated the pictures didn't do it any justice.
“[Pictures] do not do it justice or show the 100 percent damage it has caused me,” Rose wrote. “My heart hurts terribly I don’t even have any words to say to anyone as I just can’t get anything out but that it hurts and has been scary."
Rose said her only intentions for sharing this devastating experience is to prevent it from happening to anyone else.
Timm said that police along with detectives are looking into the incident and will be watching camera footage.
