DURHAM, NC — No, that's no Snapchat filter. That's real deal pollen.
Photographer Jeremy Gilchrist shared several pictures of '#ThePollening' in Durham, North Carolina on Monday.
"No tricks here," the photographer wrote on Facebook. "Yes you are looking at a green haze made up of tree pollen from the pines of central NC!"
According to WTVD, pollen was heavy in the air both Monday and Tuesday, covering practically everything outside. Though meterologists at WTVD say the air was less pollen-filled on Tuesday, they anticipate that 'pollmageddon' could soon return.
