(WTXL) — While Hurricane Dorian remains the tropical system to watch, there are now three other tropical disturbances to keep an eye on, too.
The National Hurricane Center is monitoring four systems that could become tropical depressions during the next 5 days.
One tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico has a 60 percent chance of cyclone formation in the next two days and a 70 percent chance of cyclone formation in the next five days.
Another disturbance in the mid-Atlantic has a 30 percent chance of cyclone formation in the next two days and a 40 percent chance over the next five days.
The third one is way out in the Atlantic Ocean and has an 80 percent chance of cyclone formation in the next two days and 90 percent chance in the next five days.
The most recent one showed up on radar early Monday, Sept. 2, but is located farther east off the coast of Africa. It has a zero percent chance of developing in the next two days.
NHC is monitoring 4 systems that could become tropical depressions during the next 5 days. Notably, the low in the SW Gulf of Mexico is likely to become a tropical depression as it approaches NE Mexico, and interests there should monitor the system.
