HBO makes programming available for free as part of #StayHomeBoxOffice

(WTXL) — HBO has made practicing social distancing just a little bit easier.

The company announced on Twitter, that it will make 500 hours of programming available to stream without a subscription for a limited time.

The promotion is part of #StayHomeBoxOffice and an effort to bring some much-needed distraction from the coronavirus pandemic.

The promotion becomes available Friday on HBO Now and HBO Go.

HBO also tweeted out some of the shows, movies, and documentaries that will be available:

The deal comes ahead of the launch of HBO's new streaming service HBO Max, set to launch next month.

HBO Max will include everything on HBO, plus original content, for the same price of $14.99.
