(WTXL) — Costco has implemented limits on meat purchases to help ensure more customers are able to have access to food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company wrote on its website that "buyers and suppliers are working hard to provide essential, high demand merchandise as well as everyday favorites."
Fresh meat purchases will be temporarily limited to a total of 3 items per member among the beef, pork and poultry products.
In addition to the limit on meat purchases, the company also announced that starting May 4, customers must wear a mask or face covering while shopping at its warehouses.
On May 4, most Costco locations and Costco gas stations will return to regular operating hours.
