WICHITA, Kan. (WTXL) — A photo of a young boy holding the hand of one of his classmates on the first day of school is going viral.

According to ABC affiliate KAKE, a child named Connor, who has autism, was having trouble adjusting on the first day of school and was crying by himself. That wasn't until Christian came over to help him.

Christian’s mother, Courtney Moore, snapped a picture of the moment showing Christian holding hands with Connor and letting him know that everything would be all right.

"I’m so proud of my son, he seen a kid balled up into a corner crying, so he went to console him, grabbed his hand and walked him inside of the school! It is an honor to raise such a loving, compassionate child! He’s a kid with a Big heart, the first day of school started off right," Courtney said in a Facebook post.
