TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Saturday, music was filling the air at Apalachee Regional Park for the Second Annual Field Day Music Festival. The event is meant for family fun, but the goal is to bring awareness and raise funds.
All proceeds go to The Judy Field Memorial Foundation for cancer prevention research. Katie Pernell, Co-Chair of Field Day Music Festival says, "My mom died of cancer 3 years ago and we were wanting to honor her also raise awareness and funds about pancreatic cancer in our community. "
There's a memorial area, hay rides, family games and more. Last year the festival raised 15 thousand dollars. Organizers say they are on track to beat that record tonight.
