VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between March 23 and March 26, Murray Road will be completely closed to drivers. It is so Georgia Power can replace three large utility poles.

According to the City of Valdosta, residents who live in that area can use Brookfield Road, which is accessible from Inner Perimeter Road on the north and North Ashley Street on the south, to get home.

In addition, the city says from March 27-29, drivers traveling in that area of the city will also be flagged around similar work scheduled at the intersection of Murray Road and North Oak Street Extension. It will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday and from 7:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
