MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) - Moultrie Police officers are participating in "No Shave November" this month.

Officers are not normally allowed to grow facial hair as a part of their dress code.

But during November, officers can opt to not shave and donate a dollar a day, $30 for the whole month, to United Way. There will be a prize at the end of the month for the officer with the best beard.

Officers say some folks in the community have noticed their new look.

Female officers and others who didn't want to grow facial hair, have also participated by donating to the United Way.
