COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) - The Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its second career fair this year.
Chamber President Tommie Beth said they're expecting roughly 100 people from around the region to be in attendance. She added that up to 30 different companies will be represented at the career fair in an effort to attract more people to work in the Moultrie-Colquitt County area.
"This career fair is important for our community. Our community is seeing a lot of growth and progress right now. We are having a lot of businesses open, but also local businesses are continuing to expand, and as their businesses grow, that means an additional workforce," said Beth.
The event is set for Wednesday, August 22, from 9 a.m. until noon at 912 1st Ave Southeast in Moultrie.
It's open to anyone, whether you are employed but looking for a new path or getting ready for your first job.
