MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) - Tax Free Friday is back in downtown Moultrie this weekend.
Participating stores are paying the taxes for you as you get last minutes items before school starts.
Store owners like Macie Hagwood at Flossy Peaches say even though Georgia doesn't offer this anymore, she still takes part in Moultrie's initiative to continue this event.
She says it's a great incentive to motivate people to get out and shop, and keep Georgia dollars local.
"We're willing to do it, just to kind of give everyone a break when it comes to taking care of that list," said Hagwood.
The event is only Friday and Saturday and happens just once a year.
