JACKSON CO., Fla. (WTXL) - Jackson County Deputies arrest a man, they say, was caught with crystal meth and other items commonly used to sell drugs after leading deputies on a high speed chase.

At about 11:30am on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 a Jackson County deputy was driving on Highway 2 in Campbellton when he attempted to pull over a motorcyclist, later identified as Ronald J. Ollig Junior, for not having a license plate displayed on the bike.

Deputies say instead of pulling over, Ollig sped up, going across someone's yard, a church yard and then continuing on going over 100 mph down a dirt road, where he lost control of the bike and ran into a police car.

Deputies say Ollig's motorcycle landed in a ditch and Ollig ran off. Tracking teams were called in and found Ollig about five minutes after they arrived.

According to the sheriff's office, a search of the motorcycle turned up about 27.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $3000, along with several items of drug paraphernalia including a set of digital scales and bags.

The 27-year old from Campbellton is charged with aggravated fleeing/eluding, trafficking meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony driving with license suspended, no motorcycle endorsement and leaving the scene of a crash with damage along with several citations.
