NOKOMIS, Fla. (WWSB) -- On Sunday night dozens gathered at a watch party in support of local talent, Adele Romanski.
Romanski went to the Pine View school in Osprey, before she went on to begin working as a producer.
Friends, family, and supporters of Romanski gathered at Paradise Grill to wait and see if her film would win best picture.
Romanski produced the film "Moonlight."
The film did win best picture, after a confusing announcement.
Romanski's mother, Erene Romanski said, "She couldn't be happier."
